What is Bonfire?

Bonfire is a unique collaboration of three local ELCA churches: St. James Lutheran, House of Hope Lutheran and First Lutheran of Crystal.

How is Bonfire run?

The Bonfire Council is made up of members of each congregation. They, along with the pastors, try to meet monthly to plan joint activities. The staffs from each congregation also meet from time to time for joint ventures.

Bonfire Parish Nurse

The bonfire churches share a volunteer parish nurse that will begin fall 2010. Look for blood pressure clinics, stop in office hours and blood drives! The parish nurse position is overseen by the Bonfire Health & Wellness Committee made up of health professionals from all three churches. Debbie Hainey is a registered nurse and certified women's health care nurse practitioner, and we look forward to this venture with her.
