Weddings

St. James is glad to join in marriage couples that believe that faith is an important part of the sacrament of marriage. Pre-marriage counseling as well as a wedding coordinator make wedding day go smoothly. For more information or to check availability please call the church office at 763-537-3653. Note: member rates apply to those that are members of St. James at the time the wedding is placed on the church calendar.

Baptisms

The sacrament of baptism is an important part of the faith journey. Children and adults are welcomed into the community of Christ during Sunday morning worship, so the entire congregation may bear witness to this commitment made before God. Parents meet with one of the pastors on an individual basis to make baptismal plans.

Funerals

St. James helps families say goodbye to their loved ones during funeral and memorial services. A lunch is provided by the St. James Lutheran Church women, so that everyone can share their memories and stories about their loved one.

Hospital Visits

The pastors at St. James are glad to make visits to pray with and even bring communion to those that are hospitalized. Please let us know if you or a family member is in need of a visit from a pastor.

Shut In Visits

The pastors at St. James make regular visits with communion to members that are no longer able to make it to church. This is a way for these people to remain connected to St. James and to their faith. Occasionally the congregation will sign a card for these shut in members to let them know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer shawls made with love and prayers by members of St. James are often brought to people that are in special need of prayers.

Prayer Request

All prayer requests start in the church office by calling 763-537-3653 or emailing us. The prayer is then passed on through a phone chain to other members of St. James that will prayer about your request. Please include who you are, relationship to person needing prayers, and what type of prayers are needed.

Paris Nurse

St. James, in collaboration with First Lutheran Church of Crystal and House of Hope Lutheran Church, now has a parish nurse. Please contact the church office for more information.
