New Home of ComedySportz is West 227 Riverside

In February of 2004 (with the exact date to be determined), ComedySportz will begin performing at West 227 Riverside Avenue in Downtown Spokane.  It is the address made famous by a jingle for Sylvan Furniture, which occupied that space for 58 years until 2003.

This building is part of larger project called "Havermale Park". This project includes the construction and renovation of over 150,000 square feet of apartments and 37,000 square feet of retail space – all in a mixed-use neighborhood in downtown Spokane.

The first mixed-use development of this kind in Spokane, Havermale Park will represent an important stage in downtown revitalization: Downtown Housing! Retail stores, theater (us!), and restaurants will compliment Havermale’s 130 apartment units.

Coming from Coeur d' Alene:

• Take I-90 west to downtown Spokane
• Take the Exit 281 exit
• Continue on DIVISION ST (towards the north)
• Turn left (to the west) onto RIVERSIDE AVE
• We are 1.5 block on the left (or south) side of the road (look for the big blue sign on the side of the building that says "Furniture"). We are at West 227 Riverside, which is between Browne and Bernard.
• Park, go in, and have fun

Parking  Nearby: There is plenty of street side parking in the immediate area (which is free after 6pm) and several reasonably priced pay lots.

Dining Nearby: We are half-block east of the downtown Onion and across the street from the B-side and China Best.  Other nearby restaurants include:

• High Nooner (237 W Riverside Ave) - great sandwiches
• China Best (226 W Riverside Ave) - Kasey's favorite Chinese food in Spokane, and he is picky.
• Luigi's Italian Restaurant (245 W Main Ave) - Italian food obviously
• The Onion (302 W Riverside Ave) - a Spokane tradition
• Suki Yaki Inn (119 N Bernard St) - Japanese food, of course
• The Italian Kitchen (113 N Bernard St)  - Italian food
• Chili's Bar & Grill (207 W Spokane Falls Blvd) - American food
