Subject: Thank you!

Craig,

I just received your gift basket, and wanted to take a minute to say thank you for it...  Quite nice of you!  It also reminded me that a thank you note to you and Kasey (our facilitator for the Team Builder) is long overdue.

We had our meeting the 14th of January, and it went better than I ever could have expected.  I have 12 store Asset Protection Managers in Washington, Idaho, and Montana.  Our team has struggled in the last 6 months with communication, and rapport, due mostly to the geographic restrictions.  The team was not comfortable with their peers, because they saw them simply as a group of people that they met with a few times a year.  I was frustrated by this, because the depth of talent and experience that they each possessed was going to waste;  they were not sharing it with each other, and learning from each other.

The sole purpose of the meeting in January was to try and get the team to familiarize themselves with each other, and build on that over time so that there was a solid working relationship, and a network of resources for each Manager.  Kasey was there for the first day of the meeting, and had about 4 hours with the team.  In that time we played several games, all of which were geared towards making the team step out of their comfort zones, and work with each other.  But before we even started, Kasey asked what the goal of the activities was supposed to be, as well as about individual personalities and attitudes.  He made sure from the outset that he was going to meet my expectations, as well as tailor his work to the group;  the rest of the day was a lot of fun for us.  I believe the consensus favorites were "Big Booty" and "Zoom, Schwarz, Pafigliano" :o)

I was extremely pleased with the way our meeting went, and with the way that Kasey handled the group.  They are a great group of people, but getting a group of hardened security managers to rap "Big Booty, Big Booty, Big Booty, uh-HUH" is no small feat!  He was energetic and positive the whole afternoon, and I received several compliments from the team on how well he kept the day moving, and kept it all interesting.  I will, without hesitation, be recommending SpoComedy Team Builders to my peers here at Target.  I know if my team is still talking, and laughing, about their experience, that it was time well spent.  It was a great way to lay the groundwork for our meeting, and the next 2 days went fantastic.

Thank you again for the gift basket, and for Kasey;  I appreciate both!

Best,
David Neisen
